Kulgam, May, 23: Today, a comprehensive briefing session was conducted at the District Police Lines, Kulgam, in preparation for the upcoming GELS-2024, in which Police Zonal Officers/Sector Officers, GOs, SHOs and other Officers of district Police Kulgam participated.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS briefed the officers on the specific nature of their duties and responsibilities during the election period. Various issues and concerns were raised by officers who are assigned election duties in the district. In response, SSP Kulgam led a thorough interactive session to address these concerns, ensuring clarity and readiness for the upcoming electoral process.
SSP Kulgam further directed the officers that security arrangements including security for the polling booths should be put in place efficiently and seamless coordination should be facilitated with other forces keeping in view the sensitiveness of the areas or concerns that may arise as the election process unfolds and providing real time updates on evolving security scenerios.
