Kulgam, November 30, 2024: MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah, alongside senior district officials, conducted a public darbar in Frisal, Kulgam today, providing a platform for local residents to address their concerns. Several community members from surrounding areas attended the session, raising issues related to essential services such as water supply, healthcare, education, and animal husbandry.

One of the most pressing issues discussed was the ongoing drinking water crisis in Frisal. Many residents voiced their frustrations over the inadequate supply and poor quality of water, urging immediate intervention. Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah assured the public that he had received multiple complaints on the matter and would personally address the issue with the concerned minister for a resolution.

In addition to water concerns, the residents also raised the lack of sufficient medical facilities, citing a shortage of doctors and staff in local healthcare centers. They also highlighted the scarcity of teachers in schools and the need for improved veterinary services for livestock.

The darbar was attended by senior district officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and representatives from the Public Health Engineering (PHE), Education, and Animal Husbandry departments.

In his address, MLA Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah reassured the public that their grievances would be prioritized. He urged the concerned departments to take prompt action in addressing the issues and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to improve infrastructure and public services in the region.

Additionally, MLA Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah shared that the Home Minister had assured him that Statehood would be restored by the last week of December. “Let us hope that the Home Minister will fulfill his promise, bringing a sense of optimism to the people of our region,” said Peerzada, encouraging residents to remain hopeful for a positive outcome.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from local officials to stay engaged with the community and work towards the timely resolution of the issues raised by the residents of Frisal and surrounding areas.
