Srinagar, Apr 3, : In a show of solidarity, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, the envoy for Interfaith Dialogue of Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian, visited the grief-stricken Gujjar-Bakarwal family struggling with the disappearance of three members—two found dead and one still missing. The visit was carried out on the directive of Anjuman President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Safavi, who has called for an urgent and transparent probe into the tragedy.
During his visit, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi conveyed heartfelt condolences and assured the bereaved family that Anjuman-E-Sharie Shian has urged Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir to leave no stone unturned in investigating the matter. He emphasized the need for an impartial inquiry to uncover the circumstances surrounding the deaths and disappearance, ensuring that any wrongdoing, regardless of the perpetrator, is exposed and addressed.
Sources indicate that the three missing family members—part of the nomadic Gujjar-Bakarwal community—had mysteriously disappeared under unclear circumstances, triggering concerns among locals. The recovery of two bodies has heightened fears, with rights activists and community leaders demanding accountability and justice.
The bereaved family, supported by community elders, continues to demand swift justice, hoping that those responsible—if foul play is involved—are held accountable without bias or delay. [KNT]
