Kulgam, Feb 17: State President of Jammu & Kashmir Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Vivek Bali, on Tuesday visited Hadigam in Kulgam district and interacted with the media on various public issues.
While addressing reporters, Bali welcomed the recent decision of the Lieutenant Governor to open several tourist destinations across Kashmir, calling it a positive and timely initiative aimed at boosting tourism and local livelihoods.
However, he expressed concern that the famous tourist destination Aharbal in Kulgam district was not included in the list of places reopened for visitors. He said Aharbal holds immense tourism potential and plays a significant role in supporting the local economy.
Bali appealed to the administration to include Aharbal in the list and ensure its reopening at the earliest so that tourism-related activities in the area can resume and benefit local residents.
He also urged the government to address the long-pending issues of casual labourers and daily wagers, emphasizing the need for concrete measures to resolve their problems and provide them with financial and job security.
Several local party workers and residents were present during the visit.
