Vivek Bali Condemns Attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah, Calls for Thorough Probe

Srinagar, Mar 12: State President , Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Vivek Bali on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on Farooq Abdullah and expressed relief that the senior leader remained safe.

In a statement issued here, Bali said the incident was deeply disturbing and called for a thorough investigation into the matter. He stressed that the security of senior political leaders must be ensured and that any lapse in this regard should be taken seriously.

“Strongly condemn the attack on Dr Farooq Abdullah Sahib. I am relieved that he is safe. Police must investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure his security and safety so that such incidents do not happen again. I wish him good health and safety,” Bali said.

He further expressed hope that the authorities would get to the bottom of what he described as a very disturbing security lapse. Bali urged the police to uncover the truth behind the incident and take appropriate measures to prevent such occurrences in the future.

Reiterating his party’s stand, Bali said the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party firmly believes in peace and democratic values and stands strongly against violence in any form.

“Our party is against violence and believes in maintaining peace and harmony in society,” he added.
